Carter has been offered everything she has ever dreamed of—a
caring, lasting relationship with a handsome, often charming
billionaire; the permanent home she's never had but has always
craved; and wealth to buy the designer fashions she loves, support
her hard-working mother, and ensure her acceptance by Chicago's
elite.
To
obtain what she's desired for so long, she has to do only two things:
Walk away from her best friend, a woman who is destined to betray her
… and end her passionate nightly encounters with a certain tattooed
biker, a former Marine who can never give her what she needs.
Her
answer should be clear, but the heart has a way of complicating even
the most straightforward decisions.

Sinful Rewards 7 – Home Is Where The
? Is
Cynthia Sax
When you hear the word ‘home’, what
do you think of? For some of us, home is a place, a person, a smell,
our pets, a country, a climate. As I love hearing the answers to this
question, it’s one that I often ask my characters.
Bee, the heroine of Sinful Rewards, my
sizzling hot contemporary erotic romance serial, at first thinks of
home as a place. For her, home is a physical abode she owns. It’s
permanent. It’s hers. No one can take it away from her.
During her childhood, Bee and her
minimum wage earning mom would often be evicted from the apartments
they rented. They moved from place to place. Bee learned not to
become emotionally attached to these apartments. She didn’t view
them as homes. They were simply places where they’d sleep.
In Sinful Rewards 7, Bee is offered her
permanent ‘dream’ home. There are strings attached. In order to
gain this place of her own, she has to give up things, people, and a
part of herself. When she explores the luxurious space, it’s devoid
of people, and she realizes a building or high end condo isn’t
truly the home she’d envisioned.
I moved around quite a bit as a child.
When I think of a home, I picture people. At the time this was my
three brothers, my two sisters, my mom. As long as they were with me,
I was home. This could have been in a house, the back of a car, a
tent (during our homeless days). Where we were sleeping didn’t
matter.
Now, I think of home as wherever my
dear wonderful hubby is. We’ll often call hotel rooms or other
temporary places home. This puzzles some of our friends and family
members. How could we think of a hotel room as ‘home’? But we
do…as long as we’re both there.
One of my best friends views home as
wherever her three mischievous cats are residing. She moved recently
for a new job. Uncertain as to whether or not the job would work out,
she left her cats at her dad’s house for the first few months. She
didn’t call her new house home until she moved her cats in.
What is home for you? Has this changed
(as it has for Bee, our heroine) over the years?
